RPAS(Reverse Parking Assist System)

RPAS is an ultrasonic-based parking assistance system designed to detect the distance to obstacles behind the vehicle (or both front and rear) during reversing or low-speed driving. It provides real-time warnings to the driver through audible alerts, LED displays, LCD displays, or the vehicle's original instrument cluster / infotainment screen, helping reduce collision risks and improve parking safety and convenience.

Working Principle

RPAS operates by transmitting ultrasonic waves from sensors mounted on the bumper and receiving the reflected signals from nearby obstacles. The control unit calculates the distance based on the time-of-flight of the ultrasonic waves and then provides real-time parking alerts to the driver via audible warnings or visual displays.

Intelligent Auto Activation
The rear parking sensors are automatically activated when reverse gear is engaged.
When the vehicle speed is below 15 km/h, the front sensors are automatically activated by applying the brake.
For OEM display versions, the front sensors are triggered automatically when the speed is below 15 km/h, without the need to press the brake pedal.
