Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) System

BSM is an advanced automotive active safety technology designed to detect obstacles (e.g., vehicles, pedestrians, or objects) within the driver's side and rear blind zones. Utilizing millimeter-wave radar sensors, it continuously scans areas beyond the coverage of traditional mirrors. During normal driving or lane changes, the system provides real-time visual/auditory alerts to warn drivers of potential collision risks, significantly enhancing safety for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and autonomous driving applications.

Function Introduction

1.Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM)
Activation: Automatically activates when the vehicle power is turned on.
Monitoring Range: Lateral: approx. 4.4 meters; Rear: approx. 10 meters.
Function: Issues a warning when a target vehicle enters the monitored blind spot. The warning automatically cancels once the target leaves the blind spot.
Warning Types:
Level 1 Warning: Yellow LED warning light illuminates.
Level 2 Warning (when turn signal is activated): Buzzer sounds "beep-beep-beep" three times and red LED warning light flashes.

2.Lane Change Alert (LCA)
Activation: Continuously active during driving.
Monitoring Range: Lateral: approx. 4.4 meters; Rear: approx. 10 meters.
Function: Issues a warning when a target vehicle enters the monitored blind spot. The warning automatically cancels once the target leaves the blind spot. Triggers a Level 1 warning if a vehicle within approx. 50 meters behind has a predicted collision time with the host vehicle of less than 5 seconds.
Warning Types:
Level 1 Warning: Yellow LED warning light illuminates.
Level 2 Warning (when turn signal is activated): Buzzer sounds "beep-beep-beep" three times and red LED warning light flashes.

3.Door Open Warning (DOW)
Activation: Automatically activates (relying on BSM) after the vehicle comes to a stop.
Monitoring Range: Rear: approx. 10 meters.
Function: Issues a warning when a target vehicle or pedestrian enters the monitored blind spot. The warning automatically cancels once the target leaves the blind spot.
Warning Types:
Level 1 Warning: Yellow LED warning light illuminates.
Level 2 Warning (when turn signal is activated): Buzzer sounds "beep-beep-beep" three times and red LED warning light flashes.

4.Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)
Activation: Activates when reverse gear is engaged.
Monitoring Range: Lateral: approx. 3.0 - 5.0 meters.
Function & Warning: Issues a Level 1 Warning (yellow LED warning light illuminates) when moving vehicles or pedestrians enter the monitoring area. The warning automatically cancels once the target leaves the area.
5.Active Overtaking Alert (AOA)
Activation: Operates in real-time during overtaking maneuvers.
Function: Monitors the surrounding environment in real-time during overtaking, predicts potential collision risks, and issues warnings to the driver to enhance overtaking safety.
6.B-Pillar Blind Zone Following Vehicle Warning
Activation: Continuously monitors.
Function: Issues a timely warning signal to alert the driver when the system detects that the host vehicle and a preceding vehicle traveling at the same speed have entered the B-Pillar blind zone and a potential collision risk exists, thereby helping to prevent collision accidents.
